Another bodog bonus cleared

Actually I need to look up when I last deposited on Bodog to see if I can reload again yet. Might have to wait another day or two but would be useful to know.

It's always nice when you log in and your bankroll is $100 higher than when you last quit. Admittedly I knew I was due a decent bonus payment but hadn't included it in my bankroll as yet.

Only got in about 20 mins of poker, but still managed to gain about 15BBs on a combination of $1/2 and $2/4 tables mixed between bodog, cake and fulltilt. No real interesting hands, although one guy was quite good to me as he was quite aggro, and raised a 3 way hand on every street with a flush draw versus my top pair 2nd kicker only, on a board that had draws for both a flush and straight which all missed. I did battle to find a decent fulltilt table, although eventually got on one with a bunch of tight passives, and one very loose passive that I had position on.

Should have a few more bonus $ coming my way from Bodog as well. The next consideration for me will be whether to withdraw again from Bodog next month, or let my roll keep building up on that site so that I can play some more $4/8 there again. I'm kinda leaning towards the latter option, as it would be good to play some larger stakes again on there. Its a bit annoying they don't have $3/6 or $2/4 6max tables there.

I've also noticed that with the interest i'm earning from my withdrawals, i've almost paid off the interest debt from my initial bankroll investment online. (I figure I have to charge myself for the time it took me to actually make my first withdrawal of my original deposit). So basically from next month on, all interest will be added back into my bankroll for an added little bonus.

Current bankroll: $12,950

They reckon that there is no substitute for experience. With your volume, your game must be improving with zero risk of losing your bankroll. How good does that feel?

Do you get to play any home games with mates, and if so do you clean up now?

Bort is doing brilliantly well. I immediately identified with this blog when I found it, mainly because I see in Bort the place that I would like to get to in 6 months to a year - a really solid $12k bankroll and great comfort in playing games anywhere from 1/2 up to 4/8 or higher.

I also wonder what your goal is for the next year or so. Given how far you have come in 18 months, you could possibly be playing some seriously pro stakes in a year or two. Any thoughts of trying other games? Omaha? No Limit? Tournaments?

yep tim, durr and ivey watch out!

Might do a post sooner or later on future plans, but I haven't really thought too much through.

ANd yeah tiocfaidharla, it is quite handy to be playing confidently without too much risk, although I'm only super confident at the $1/2 level and maybe $2/4 depending on site/rake structure.

had a home game the other night actually and did okay. We play no limit 1hr sitngos though so not really my area of expertise.

As for future games, i figure i'll probably switch to nolimit sooner or later, but will make sure i've read harrington first. Not sure which books are any good on omaha but i'm sure i'll learn it sooner or later. Tourneys i dont really have time for.

The other thing is my volume isn't all that much at about 30 hours or less per month. So basically anyone could probably do what i've done in a lot less time if they have the spare hours :)
